Super Magical AF Chia Pudding

chia-pudding_-2.jpg

When you can’t decide on a chia pudding flavor… 🤔 I was playing around with flavor combos today and the result? TASTY AF!! I love chia seeds and use them all the time: add-ins to smoothies, chia pudding, salad toppings. They are a mini powerhouse packing more calcium than milk, more antioxidants than blueberries and more Omega-3 than Salmon. These two superfood bowls are not only colorful but good-for-you, too. Here's what's in each:

Ocean Blue Smoothie Bowl

Smoothie bowls are kind of like having fro-yo for breakfast, but with a superfood packed twist! Which is why I'm obsessed with them. Jump start your day with a lip-smacking blend of superfood ingredients. This sweet superfood sensation is loaded with vitamins, ultra powerful antioxidants from blue-green algae, plant-based protein and fiber along with a tasty punch! So, where can you get blue-green algae? I purchase mine through E3Live. I first came across them after enjoying countless blue-green algae cashew milk bottles at Kure Juice Bar here in Portland. Blue-green algae is an amazing superfood and one of the most nutrient-dense foods that has high concentrations of proteins, vitamins, and nutrients. (Hello, beautiful skin and hair!) I knew I had to get my hands on some!

Super Green Moringa Smoothie

Super-Green-Moringa-Smoothie_2.jpg

I was pretty jazzed this on this smoothie from yesterday morning before my spin class at BurnCycle here in Portland. Avocado, frozen spinach, frozen blueberries, mint, peanut butter powder, moringa powder, almond milk and protein powder all blended up to smooth perfection. Have you tried moringa? It's a superfood that's got anti-inflammatory and antioxidants and a highly nutritious profile. The first time I had ever heard of this, was while we were living in Tamarindo, Costa Rica last year. I was excited to see at Whole Foods.

Moringa oleifera tree is considered as one of the most nutritious plants ever discovered with most of its benefits concentrated in its small green leaves. As is evident from its name, moringa powder is made from the freshly harvested leaves of the moringa oleifera tree. Fresh moringa leaf powder is deep green in color and has a rich nutty smell.

This powder is prepared by drying the moringa leaves at low temperature such that the plant tissue reaches a fine powdered consistency. The powder is then screened to remove impurities and then made into capsules and sealed in bags.

The most amazing part is that once packed, this powder remains fresh for several months, retaining its nutritional value of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, chlorophyll and complete amino-acids.
